Meet Nilufer
A quarter century of caring for women's hair.
For more than 25 years, Nilufer Diyab — Nilly to her clients — has been cutting, colouring, and styling women's hair. Her career has taken her across Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, and today she brings that experience to women across Ottawa, visiting them at home or in their retirement residence.
Working with women from so many cultures has given her a deep understanding of every kind of hair — fine or thick, straight or curly, thinning or silver — and of what it means to feel truly cared for in the chair.
Her approach is simple: listen first, work gently, and make sure every client leaves feeling like herself — only more polished.

Who does Nillyhands serve?
Nillyhands specializes in hair care for women of all ages, with a special place for older clients who appreciate a gentle, unhurried appointment.
Which areas do you cover?
Nilufer is a mobile hairdresser serving the whole City of Ottawa, from Centretown and the Glebe to Kanata, Barrhaven, Nepean and Orléans. She comes to your home, or to your retirement residence, including in-suite visits. Just outside the city? Send a request and she'll let you know if she can help.
Can I book an appointment for my mother or a relative?
Of course. In the booking form, tick “I'm booking for a family member” and add their name. Nilufer will confirm the details with you.
Is my appointment confirmed as soon as I submit the form?
Your request goes straight to Nilufer, who will reply personally by phone or email to confirm the date, time, and price. If your preferred time isn't available, she'll suggest the closest option.
We manage a retirement residence. How do we get started?
Choose “Residence partnership” in the form below and tell us a little about your community. Nilufer will reach out to arrange a conversation and, if you like, a visit to see your space.
What if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
Just let Nilufer know as early as you can, by calling (613) 410-6010 or replying to her confirmation email, and she'll find you a new time.
